QUESTIONS ABOUT ONLINE BANKING

I’m already enrolled in Online Banking. Do I need to re-enroll?

Yes. You will need to re-enroll each credit card account individually in Online Banking at mbna.ca, on or after September 30, 2014. (Refer to "How do I enroll in the new Online Banking system?" below.)

What changes will I notice when I use Online Banking?

Good news: you will enjoy some convenient benefits, including the ability to:

  • download and print up to seven years of account statement history;
  • toggle easily back and forth between English and French;
  • add authorized users to your credit card account(s) online;
  • log in directly to the secure site – you will no longer require a SiteKey to enroll; our system has been updated to a secure, single sign-on screen;
  • click to get from the main site to your new rewards site, where you’ll find all your rewards details.

When I re-enroll in Online Banking, can I use the same username and password that I had before?

When you re-enroll in Online Banking on or after September 30, 2014, you will have the flexibility to choose your username and password. To create your login name and password, the Online Banking site will provide step by step instructions to walk you through the set-up. Your login name must be 8-25 alpha and/or numeric characters. Your password must be 8-24 characters, with at least one number; the password is case-sensitive.

Can I pre-enroll in Online Banking?

No. The new Online Banking system will not be available until the conversion weekend is completed; you can re-enroll on or after September 30, 2014.

Will I be able to view my historical statements on the new Online Banking system?

Yes. Through the new Online Banking system, you will be able to view, download and print up to seven years of account statement history.

Can I have all my MBNA MasterCard credit card accounts under one profile in the new Online Banking ?

Starting October 21, 2014 you can add additional MBNA credit card accounts to any of your existing Online Banking profiles if you are the primary cardholder on each account.  And coming early next year — you'll be able to combine all your accounts under one existing Online Banking profile, regardless of whether you are the primary cardholder or authorized user on the accounts.

How do I enroll in the new Online Banking system?

It’s easy. Simply go to mbna.ca on or after September 30, 2014, click "Enroll" and follow the simple steps below:

  1. Set up your new Online Banking ID and password. If you have multiple credit card accounts, you will need to set up each credit card account separately. Your sign-in screen has changed to a convenient, one-step screen that includes your new login name and password.
  2. In order to provide you with enhanced security features, you will be prompted to set up security questions.
  3. You will then be required to review and accept a new Electronic Access Agreement and Paperless Agreement.
  4. While enrolling in Online Banking, please sign up for eStatements (electronic statements). You’ll automatically receive email notifications when your eStatements are ready for you to view.
  5. You will need to take the following steps for each account:
  • set up your eNotifications preferences;
  • review your profile and contact information.
